Definition looks good. It will be very good and fine, if the reason or description like "the concept why it is defined like this" is also given.

1)Testing is an activity that helps an organization to avoid costly failures.
2)Testing is an expense to avoid later costs (maintenance cost).
3)Finding bugs early saves money.

Hence we can say "Testing is spending money to save money."

Varifying and Validating your creation as against the users requirements.

Software testing is breaking the software to make it."
