Copy test cases associated with requirements to new location

I am trying to copy test cases that are associated to requirements to a new location. Once they are copied to the new location, I'm noticing that the requirment is no longer associated to the test case. If I move the test case the requirement is retained/still associated to the test case. Moving the test case works but there is a risk in moving test cases and perhaps losing them in comparison to copying them to a new location. I'd like to know if it is possible copy test cases that are associated to requirements to a new location and retain the relationship between the test case and the requirement.

The tool doesn't retain the relation between Requirements and Test Cases. User has to manually map the requirements after copying the Test Cases to the new location.

Thumbs up Re: Copy test cases associated with requirements to new location

    Hello,
I depends on how you move them. The copy paste function in Quality Center works in a way where all associations and history disappears when data is moved from one project to another - also within the same domain. This is very anoying - at least that it is not an option that you can select or deselect.

So the only option for moving the entire project with its relations and history is by creating a projects from the site administrator and then choosing "copy from existing project". Then you get the entire project over and you can then delete the obsolete data from the new project.

    Best regards
