* file system can spam multiple disk
* we can mplement raid levels
svm is a inbuilt operations no need to install packages..


Veritas Volume Management:

veritas volume management is storage management sub system that allows u to manage physical disk as a logical devices called volume. a volume is a logical device that appears data as physical device pation device..

vxvm is a third paty tool software, neede install software packages..
this system require disk array for install veritas.

One more difference is We can't shrink volume in SVM where we can in VXVM.
SVM is inbuilt with OS where as VXVM is licenced Product.
In VXVM, we can move Storage objects across servers where as in SVM we can't.
But now SVM also introduced shared storage components.
