What to do blackbox tester with unix
Hi,
I worked as a manual tester(funtional) for 3months, I took a break Now I am searching for jobs. I know basic commands in unix and how to use v-editer etc., I kept it in my resume. Some requirments needs Unix. My main question, how far tester can use UNIX and what type of testing will do with unix. Knowing the basic commands of unix is helpful for appliing such requirments and type of questions (unix) i can face at the timeof interview.Middel mens are not considering my application when i said basic knowledge on Unix. Suppose if it is batch testing pl give with exmaple Other than that what we have to do,

At least u have to know the basic of unix my dear directories: moving around the file system: listing directory contents: changing file permissions and attributes moving, renaming, and copying files: viewing and editing files: shells environment variables interactive history filename completion bash is the way cool shell.
