    Unix is a txt based thing and linux supports GUI and inherits the property on unix.

    Linux to Unix is same as Windows to DOS.

    I think according to my knowledge,linux kernel is non-preemptive whereas unix kernel is pre-emptive.That is the major difference between the two architectures.
