How to create a prompt for selecting reports( not data) in cognos 8 or reportnet?

You just want to select a report from the prompt... thats it...?

Well, there is a package in Cognos Connection > Public Folders(if u installed Cognos samples) called as Audit Package. It has many reports which can help you understand how to pass report names as prompt values.
Try having a look at it.
