    What is the purpose of a test completion criterion?

    What is the purpose of a test completion criterion?

    a) to know when a specific test has finished its execution
    b) to ensure that the test case specification is complete
    c) to set the criteria used in generating test inputs
    d) to determine when to stop testing

    The purpose of a test completion criteria is to determine when to stop Testing. For arrriving at this criteria the following points are to be satisfied.

    1. All the Test Cases are executed.
    2. All the Defects are retested and closed and corresponding Regression test cases are executed.
    3. Only a minimal chances of getting error or defect.
    4. Once the deadline have reached. (In this case after the deadline also the system is not stable then it should be approved by the management.)
    5. All the major functionalities are working fine after trying will all kind of input data and all the functionalities satisfying the business rules.
