    Regression test cases

Do we change the regression test cases because of new functionality introduced in the application which includes new navigation in the old functionality?

Alpha Testing- Client Side people comes to the company or they creats the company environment and conduct the testing of project in presence of testing people. Client Side people tests the application and tester takes the feedback from them and report it to the development team.

Beta Testing- Release a beta version or trial version to the market and take feedback from the users.

    Re: Regression test cases

If the new navigation is introduced in the application due to the introduction of new functionality, then the change of regression test cases depends on the conditions below:

    i. if there are only minor changes in the application due to the new functionality then no need to rewrite the regression test cases, but it is enough to update the area where the change is made. If the testing is done by using automation tool, record the area where the change is made and update the already existing script by adding the new script recorded and the changes needed.

ii. if the change is very major due to the new functionality added, then it is better to rewrite the regression test cases. If it is done earlier by automation tool then rewrite the entire script, by recording and by introducing the new check points.
