Necessity of VB Script

Hi Everybody,

I am beginner's in QTP. I want to know, is VB Scripting necessary to use QTP?
Can i use QTP efficiently without VB Script? can i automate my testing only using Keyward View?

Hi Pravin,

It is not mandatory that you require VBScripting knowledge to work in QTP.

But a knowledge of the same would definitely be a bonus as QTP basic syntax is based on VBScripting. It would help you code better.

Secondly, you can defintely code your work in Keyword only. But I would suggest that you not to do so, coz it does not provide you with the flexibility to modify your code as per will. Start of with Keyword and try to check the syntax generated for the same in expert View.

This would give you an idea of scripting....
