    Test Strategy

Wat is the Differece between Test Strategy and Test Planning. I have only doubt whether Test Strategy comes under in Test Planning or vice versa and which document is prepared first.

    Re: Test Strategy

Test plan : After the completion of Requirement learning and business
requirement gathering, the test plan will be prepared. The test plan will describe the plan of activities that are to be carried out in the process of testing the build. The test plan will consists of the approach of testing, scope, the different types of testing to be done, what are the requirement changes that are to be tested, the testing team and their roles and responsbilities in the testing activities, schedule or time line of testing etc.,

Test Strategy : Test strategy is the approach how the application or build is going to be tested. In a testing team either test plan or test strategy will be prepared. The test strategy will consists of the objective of testing, types of testing to be carried out, how the testing is carried out, the methodology used for testing, tools used for testing etc.,
In general either test plan or test strategy alone is prepared.
