    More then one Object Repository in QTP

    Can we have more then one object Repositiry in QTP? If yes please tell how? I know by merging we have have, But with out merging can we have?

    Suggetions are welcomeon this.

    we can have multiple object repository!!!

    then its called as shared object repository!!! we can have as many shared object repository for a test!!!
    shared object repository is stored as a seperate file with extension .tsr and we can use it with the test by calling

    if the object in shared repository present in local object repository also it will taken that object!!!

    Thanks for the reply Raj! By using Shared Object repository we can have Multiple object repositories for multiple scripts. But if we want to have multiple shared Object repository in a Single Script, is it possible? If yes please tell me how and Procedure?

    There can be both multiple local and shared repositories in QTP.

    I'm sure having multiple local repositories makes sense. What about multiple shared repositories though? Technically, having multiple shared repositories entirely depends on the situation. If you are working in an environment where lots of QA's are working and you need a shared-repository just for your use or you need to make different shared repositories for use of other QA's. Also, you can add and remove local repositories in the shared repository at anytime.

    we can have more than one repositories at same time. we have Associate repositories tool for it.

    Resources--Associate repositories

    Here u can associate No. of repositories what ever u needed.

    If u add it run time...

    repositoriescollection.add ""

    it will execute repository file at run time.
