    Traceability Matrix

    In traceability matrix we check that all requirements are covered in the design Test Cases or not. In traceability Matrix format we also need to write test cases then y we design test cases seperately in the seperate test case format document. does traceability matrix format is not enough for looking test cases. correct me if i m wrong.

    Hi,
    meaning of traceability matrix is link between Requirements to Test results.
    i can explain briefly this is document/xls doc which contain the section numbers of BRS,SRS,SDD,Function file(like x.c),Testcase,Testresults....

    by using this traceability we can know the change effected files and locations in regration testing.

    Tracebility matrix is the difference between the requirement mentioned in SRS and the test cases.

    Treaceability Matrix is a mapping document which has the requirement ID mapped to the test cases written. By keeping a link to the test case name you can go to the test case.
