Bug Density is nothing but the number of bugs found in 1000 lines of code.
now every org has this 1000 set to their rqmt and need it can be 100 or any number based on the scale of the project.

I think what you have talked about here is the KLOC method of measuring defect density.

There is one more way to do it - FPA.
