How much a tester should familiar with web server?

You are for a tester interview and If I ask you what you know about Microsoft server 2005? what you will answer?

Even more specific, how much a tester should know about web server?

I suppose the performance testers and performance monitors need this the most manual tester need automation system testers need this a little bit...not more than that..

one should know abt the perfmon and event log i think these two are the main areas.
and to be a lot better you can have knowledge abt the iis.

but most of the places they have their own wing to handle all the issues related to the webserver so you don't really required to know everything abt the server.
