    Difference between Datastage and Datastage TX

    What is the major difference between Datastage and Datastage TX. Also please guide us to a book where we can be look for will be highly appreciated.

    DSTX basically cencerned with the middle part of ETL ie.Transformations. It does not deal with Extraction or Loading.
    Supports complex transactions, formerly known as Mercator.

    The statement about DSTX not doing extraction or loading is not true. I have written maps that have extracted data from Oracle tables. Yes it is used as a transformer. However I have also loaded data into tables.
