what are the main things you consider to test if you have time constraints?

Whenever there is time constraint or money constraint or any constraint, we do risk analysis and test the application accordingly.

    Dear Brijesh

U mean we need to do testing of those areas which may be highly affected, which causes to risk analysis. plz explain. and

But how do we do risk analysis during time constraints

Yes, we need to do testing of those areas which may be highly affected.

    1. Awareness of the criticality of that testcase.
    2. How majorly that testcase affects in the application.
    3. Minimum, how much time it requires.
    4. Dependancy with the other testcases.
These all come under the UAT(User Acceptance Testing). The cases which mentioned in UAT, those we will test in case of time constraints. & we test the testcases in Highlevel Design Documents.

Note: These are the things i can say for this. Correct me if i am wrong.

    dear surekhasetty,

here the question is not what is a good test case ?

here the question is different, read the question carefully.
