Data warehousing is a concept where all the data irrespective to the subject can be stored and where as Data mining is a concept of retrieving the data belong to the specific subject from Data warehouse.

In specific we will retrieve data from data mart, which is subset of data warehouse based on some specific rules.

Data warehousing is the process of collecting data from across disparate company sources into an architecture designed for data access. Data mining is one of those data access mechanisms although mining can occur against data not in data warehouses.
