How to get the count of mails in outlook inbox.

There are two approach for the Problem, I would suggest u to spy on the InBox & find what object type it appears for QTP.

Solution 1:

If the Object is captured as a Custom Control.

Step 1: Fetch the Text on the Custom Control
"That will be the Mails Seprarated by some common String(the Common terminal say Date)"

Step 2: Parse the String by the common separator & u have the Count.



Solution 2:

If InBox is Captured as a Table.

Its Far Easy u can use the Method of Table Object to get the Row Count(Mail Count).

EXCEPTION: OutLook is Considered as one Object.......
