Non Disclosive Agreement

Can anyone tell me what is NDA (Non-Disclosive Agreement)?
I want to know what will be in this agreement ?

It is an agreement between 2 parties not to disclose or share information or knowledge that may belong to either or both the parties.

E.g. If 2 companies join together to make some product, they may need to work together understanding each other’s procedures, methodologies, technologies, processes etc which would be their individual secrets. They would enter a NDA before they start to work together such that none of the parties would disclose their secrets to a third party.
