Conventions on writing codes for QTP

HI, I just beginned to use QTP and i have a lot of questions:

Is there any conventions on writing codes for QTP?
Is descriptive programming more efficient then other one?
If I am working on distant server, which technics are convienent object repository or descriptive)?

Ofcourse descriptive is rather useful & more covinient than anything else coz u wont have any repository for this and u need not add any objects incase if QTP doesnt identify the objects..

1. There is no fixed convention for writing codes in QTP. Just follow the approach you are comfortable with keeping in mind Code Optimization.
2. DP is more efficient in any case
3. Be it be Distant Server, use DP if you require

1) the best convention could be how QTP records the script.

2) DP is more efficient coz we can incorporate our programming logic in the test script to get done with all the testing we want to do.

3) DP will be convenient coz the server will be already loaded with lot of data which may go slow at times. If test script is also slow coz of large object repository then the whole test process will be very slow.
