    To update QTP scripts

    Can Anyone explain me in detail How can we update QTP scripts for New Build??? can we use Update Run option for the same??

    It depends on application.

    Whether objects are added, modified or deleted.

    So, can't say that exact it will done. But one thing is sure, you have to update the script manually, using expert view. Or it may be required to update OR also.

    if we say update run then ..we need not to change those prop.. using Obj.Repository.. properties will be updated automatically..

    Well, if you use Update Run method, you should note that doing so will only update all the Object descriptions (or properties) that have been changed due to the new build. Also, if you are using this method, remember that the changes will be stored in your Local Repository even if the objects are called from a Shared Repository.

    Also, if new functionality has been added that affects the current test case suite, then you would need to manually alter your test scripts to cater to the new functionality. This part is basically all manual work, i.e. you will need to update/change your scripts to work with the new functionality.
