You don't have to have QTP if you just want to practice VB, if you just want to practice VB.
Put your code in the attached file. Save it as a .htm or .html file and run it on the Browser you have.

I meant VBScript. I still haven't had my morning coffee!
This will work for VBScript.
Now, you are asking another question. If you want to work on objects, as in test them, then you will need QTP. Try to find its trial version.

I think its best if you download and install the trial version of QTP and get accompanied with the tool. Someone had posted the trial location a few days ago in some other thread. You can initially try to Record/Playback and simultaneously write scripts in the Expert View. Or you can simply write scripts and run them without any Record/Playback. You need to be familiar with the tool before you start to script, in my opinion at least.

Chayya i will suggest you to use Virtual PC for practice QTP, but there may be Active screen problems, as i feel it.But you can use everytime new virtal image and install QTPtrial version.If time expire, you need not to do much effort, just remove the virtual PC image and again add fresh image copy and intall QTP again.In this way you can continue...A little more effort but no so more that you can't manage to learn QTP, right?Originally Posted by chhaya_rani
