Analog Recording: enables to record exact mouse movement, drag mouse and keyboard operation in relation to either the screen or the application window
lowlevel and analog recording are almost same, except if the exact coordinates of the object are important for your test or component then should use this recording mode
On what basis are you saying this?lowlevel and analog recording are almost same
Low Level Recording is used when QTP is unable to record an object or when Enviroment is not supported by QTP. Moreover when actual position on the screen is important then normaly we go for Low Level Recording. In this mode object on which action is performed is recorded as WINOBJECT and its parent Object is recorded as Test Object.
Analog Recording is preferreable when exact mouse and keyboard operations are required. to test drawing application you will go for Analog Recording.

As per my knowledge and familiarity with winrunner and QTP, what i can say that analog recording is good and same in QTP and Winrunner, but there is no low level recording in WInrunner which is provided in QTP, so it's difficult to understand as a new feature. If someone knows a good example of low level recording, please share with all.
