Thread: test script can be changed to scripted component????

IN qtp while recording a script if we do it in test that is if we select File->new->test. and save it.It will be saved as test script.

And my question is that script can be saved as scripted component or not

I don't think a test script can be changed to scripted component, because we cannot use that in other application. If u use it in the same application it is ok. Others plz tell me if i am wrong.

Hi varshita,

You have to create an application area first.
then create an OR and map it to AR.
Also map the required library files.
then go to File->New->BC it will ask for AR,give the one you created just now.
Open and record ,add the required objects to your OR.
Once the process is done you have created a Scripted component.
Make sure that QC and QTP are connected.
