how i can test web application
when i first installed mercury tours on my system, QTP was recording all the actions of that application. now, i do not know whether i have changed any settings or some other problem, QTP is not recording the actions of mercury tours. i cannot test other web applications as i do not have internet access. But, QTP is recording all window based applications, it is recording flight search application also. please let me know what may be the problem, how can i make QTP record mercury tours.

I think you need appropriate add-ins.

Make sure that whether you selected Web Add-In or not.If you don't select web Add-in then QTP doesn't record actions on web application.

Check for proper web addin.
Check whether proper settings is done in Options.
Check the web checks enabled.
* And Importantly check your browser settings for third-party tools enabled.
This is in internet options , advanced tab. this will enable your third party web tools and objects identification.
