Thread: OCA Certification

Hello Everyone,
My name is Saba. I'm new to this forum and looking forward to getting some advise and help from you guys. I want to start studying for OCA and give the exam soon. Is there anyone who has given the exam and can share their experiences?? I live in Houston and planning to study at home.
How many exams does OCA consists of??

Hi Saba,

i just completed my training on oracle from oracle university itself.i didnt appeared for test yet but i know everything about it.OCA includes two tests
1)-Sql
2)-DBA fundamental-I

before giving the test u should go through the dumps for OCA.for any help u may call me anytime..

first you have to write 1z0007
for that jason couchman book is very good, which gives you complete sylabus of sql

Hi Saba,
OCA - Orace Certified Assoicate
It comprises of two exams
1. 1Z007 - concentrates on SQL concepts - consists about 57 questions and 70% is passing score
2. 1Z047 - concentrates on PL/SQL concepts - consists about 66 questions and 77% is passing score.

Suggestion: Please read the Oracle 9i text book by oracle univ

You can easily find Oracle Press books in any good book store. apart from that you can also go for O'reilly press books.

this is mohammad zubair here.There are two papers in OCA.The First one you can take online or any oracle prometric center and the other one you have to write at oracle prometric center.I have done with it,if u need any kind of help ,plz feel free to write,
