    how to make pdf files password protected

    My system configuration includes Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz E4400 Processor, Intel D945GCPE motherboard, 160 GB Seagate HDD, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, LG DVD Writer and OS is windows Xp Professional SP2.

    I want to make pdf files password protected so that nobody can open them without entering passwords. But, I do not know how to set password for pdf files. I am using Adobe Reader 7.0 for pdf files.

    To create PDF you should have Adobe Acrobat installed in your system. With Adobe Reader you can only view the files but cannot modify.

    If you have Adobe Acrobat installed, then print any file (such as .doc, .txt, .htm) to pdf, and select a location to save the file. By this way you can create pdf file. There are two types of PDF file one is editable and other is non-editable. In the editable pdf you can do lot of operations such as bookmark, hyperlink, text messages etc.,
