    Mounting and Unmounting file systems

Though I know that in UNIX file systems are mountable that is each directory can be attached to overall directory tree at any point. I do not know how to achieve the mounting and unmounting file systems concept in UNIX. Any idea provided on this would be useful.

Re: Mounting and Unmounting file systems

The command /etc/mount can be used for mounting a file system.
To unmount a file system the command
    /etc/umount
This command helps to remove a file system from directory structure. But I think there are many options available with this command which I am not aware of. Hope someone would specify those for us.
