    Problems With Fedora Core 5

When I was installing FEDORA Core 5 a funny thing happened... It got installed alright. but, after installation my mouse pointer just disappeared!!! Every time it boots, till the login screen comes up mouse pointer will be present and then off it goes!

Remember, my mouse works. As I hover my mouse around my desktop, icons get highlighted. If I click and double click windows open etc etc. Mouse works fine, but there ain't no mouse pointer!!!

Anyone has an idea why this happens and what's the solution for it?
(Note: I tried changing mouse pointer configs. But no use)

Re: Problems With Fedora Core 5

Is there anyone who tried installing Fedora core5 here? Just because of this one stupid error I had to quit fedora and look for other options. (Currently I use Ubuntu - I am happy with this OS)

Please can someone tell me why this problems of "Disappeared Mouse Pointer" occurs?

    Hi Kalyama/Nibarra,

When i tried to trace this problem in net, i came across similar problems faced by so many Federo users. The common answer they had provided is
Adding the line Option "HWCursor" "false" in /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

Check out this url where they have discussed abt the same problem,
    Mouse pointer Problem

Hopefully it helps solving ur problem :-)
