    Is it legal...

If ever I will apply for a tourist visa but my real plan is getting a job in that country? I mean I will be applying only for a tourist visa with a round trip ticket but when I arrive there in that country, I would look for a job already. Is that legal?

NO this is not legal as the rule is you have to come back to the country of origin and then applied for the work permit and then go back

Definitely Illegal. You wouldn't be allowed to do that.

You come on B1 visa and convert to H1 when you find a job.But you have will have real problem when you go for visa stamping. The VO will grill you with questions and you may end up being barred from entering the country for next 10 yrs.So its your choice.

It's not legal friend. You know why?
Because on Professional visa , country charges professional taxes, and you should pay that.

You may go there as a tourist, but when you get the job , you should upgrade it.

    With regards,
    Brijesh Jain.

    HI,
I agree with Brijesh. Its not illegal as long as you change your status before you take up the job.
    thanks,

You can not work on your tourist visa status ie B1. You may search job during your tour to US and then you have to come back for H1 visa stamping if your employer sponsor you. Without getting H1, you can not work in US, if you do it will be considered against law and you may be barred for re-entry into US.

I think you may search for a job but is best to return for getting WP. It is not necessary though, coz we find many agents in India/ US who can process ur H1 and identify a job for u ...with u sitting right here in india. Just need to post ur CV to some of these popular job sites and they pick u from there.
