Want to know about CLOB
I recently came across a data type called CLOB. What is this data type? In what situation will one use this CLOB data type? Someone let me know about this.

One of the situation in which you can use this CLOB data type is if you have character data to be stored greater than what varchar can hold. Any other usage of this data type is open for discussion.

Hi,
CLOB (Character Large Object)
CLOB is of the LargeObject dataype that are designed to hold large amounts of data.
CLOB datatype stores string data in the database character set format.
It is used for large strings or documents that use the database character set exclusively.
It can store upto four gigabytes of single-byte character data.
