Thread: Improve performance of a report

Any Idea, How will you improve the performance for a report other then database level.

I'm not sure what would be the problem unless u explain the current architect/architecture...
Typically speaking any DWH environment there should be a presentation layer , Staging area and obviously database layer (apart from ODS-OLAP –OLTP).
Beyond that – the current setup both the software and hardware ..what presentation layer is currently running…What kind of reporting tools are been used…
I hope unless you provide some basic information…Well we might not be in a position to help u.. Yet as u mentioned that Database level has nothing to say….Its obvious that there is some Hardware/Software issues other than the report Runtime,
