One of my friends told me that aspect ratio is a very important concept in C graphics program. What is this term actually? How to calculate aspect ratio? Someone share your ideas on this concept.

To speak generally the aspect ratio of a window is defined to be its height divided by its width. In other words aspect ratio is an image projection attribute. That is aspect ratio specifies the height-to-width ratio. This term is also applied to characters in graphics. For example, characters with an aspect ratio of 3.0 are thrice twice as tall as they are wide.
