IIS and .NET Development Server
Difference between the iis (server) and asp.net development server i would like to know the difference between the iis (server) and asp.net development server in detail. Thank you

Hi Chary,
Althogh there can be many minor differences between two but the major differences are that
1. ASP.Net development server is there for development purpose only it only works if u are working on an instance of Visual Studio while IIS Server can be used for deployment purpose, you can use your application through IIS even if Visual Studio is not installed.
2. ASP.Net development server doesn't require to create a virtual directory while IIS Server requires a virtual directory to be created.
