Thread: Exit from a component

How to exit from a component while excuetion through QC?

I am executing a test case using Quality centre, test case contains 2 components and i want to exit from first component and continuing execution of second component.

I have used ExitTest and ExitTest Iteration but these exits whole execution, and i want to exit from that component and executing second component.

In QTP, if you want to exit from an action, you can specify a condition and instruct QTP to Exit from that Action by using:

"ExitAction"

Basically QTP Supports four types of exit

ExitAction
it is used to exit from the action

ExitActionIteration
it is used to exit the action iteration

ExitRun
it is used to exit from the test

ExitGlobalIteration
it is used to exit the global test iteration.

what is the uses of CI and what purpose we use this CI?
