Re: Acid properties of a transaction

ACID stands for Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, and Durability. The ACID property gives reliability of processing a transaction. To say in brief
Atomicity - This attribute gives the guarantee that either all tasks are performed or no task is performed.
Consistency - This attribute gives the guarantee that rules like integrity rules and so on are followed.
Isolation - This attribute helps in performance.
Durability - This property helps in maintaining system and there by increase the longevity.
