Thread: Tester and web server

manual tester didnt test the server it is admin work

In my experience, most of the manual testers I have worked with had only a little knowledge of Web Servers. I would like the manual tester to have strong knowledge in writing and executing test cases, knowledge of automation tools like QC/TD an obvious plus and anything else that might be contributed to the project makes a strong selection possibility for that candidate. But again, it depends on the job requirement. A manual tester should however, have "some" knowledge testing a DB server, selectively an IBM, Oracle, Sybase or SQLServ.

Just a general question though: what kind of testing are you planning to do on the Web Server?
