Important in Normalization
Hi,
Normalization refers to removing redundancy of data and there are different types of normal forms say first, second, third and Boyce codd normal form.
I want to know which of these forms the important normal form is and in real time applications is it possible to have all the four normal forms implemented.
Regards,
Norman

Re: Important in Normalization
The achieving of each level of normalization is resulted by passing each level one after the other. Also it does not mean all real applications have all normal forms implemented. It depends on the design of database, usage and many attributes.

What's the difference between BCNF and 3rd Normal form

Re: Important in Normalization
3rd n.f.
-----------
for a table to be in 3rd n.f. First it should be in 2nd n.f. And remove those column from the table which is dependent upon some other column in a table and that column is not a candidate key column for that table.
Bcnf-----every determinant is a candidate key
it is considered as the 4th normal form.
