Re: What is MS-ACT,WAST
Hi cindrela,
1) MS-ACT : microsoft application center test is a microsoft load testing tool for web servers, focused on asp. It operates in a similar fashion to the market leader mercury loadrunner in simulating numerous http sessions from one machine.
Using a bank of say four personal computers, all firing off repeated http requests, a significant load can be simulated. Tests can be written in either of the microsoft scripting languages: vbscript and jscript. The tool can also be used for functional testing, although that is not what it is designed for. Like loadrunner, it contains a 'tape recorder' like function to create test cases without having to program them in.
2) MS-WAST: microsoft web application stress is a simulation tool that is designed to realistically reproduce multiple browsers requesting pages from a web application.
This version covers the most needed features for stress testing three tier personalized active server page web sites running on microsoft windows nt server 4.0 and windows 2000. This is a gui-based simulation tool designed to realistically reproduce multiple browsers requesting pages from a web application. The tool works on windows nt 4.0 and windows 2000.
I don't understand your second list of queries.explain me in detail.
Hope the above definition for MS-ACT and MS-WAST helped you.
Thanks and regards,
