One of my friend has given the exam but unfortunately he didn't clear it. So I got these information from my friend.

For QTP certifications,

We have M16 certification with Mercury.
To get the Certificate For this,we need to write QTP as well as QC Exams.
If we want to write exam for QTP(M16) only, then we can write that also.But in such case we will not get certificate from Mercury but can avail a Mark sheet which gives us the % attained.
All that we need to do is we should go to the Promettric centre where in they will give the slot for you.
Exam details:
Qns: 56
Minimum % : 70%
Fee : 60$
Duration : 2 hrs
U can avail the Information from nearest NIIT

Exam Pattern: Objective Questions only

Duration: 2 hrs exam

Total number of questions: 58

Syllabus: QTP 9.2 Basic and Advanced Concepts

Access to QTP: No

Minimum number of questions to be answered correctly: 41

Pass criteria: >=71%

Just before you take the exam:
Prior to actual exam we can take a sample exam which assists in understanding how to take a prometric exam. After that there is a survey on 7 Questions from HP which is mandatory. Then the actual exam and countdown starts.

Required Experience as per people who cleared the exam:
If you have experience only on Record and play back, I suggest not to take the exam.
Take the exam only if you have sufficient experience on QTP (any version, Managing object repository, making necessary changes to the test, and worked with expert view.) This is important in order to clear the exam.

Areas on which questions were asked:
3 Qts on Data tables
5 Qts on Object Repository and Object Repository Manager.
3 Qts on Smart Identification.
5 Qts on Procedures, Functions & Sub routines.
1 Qt on Step Generator
1 Qt on Recovery Scenario
1 Qt on low level recording
1 Qt on GetToProperty
1 Qt on Library file (ext of library file)
1 Qt on Output parameter
1 Qt on Reporter.reportevent (which object is used in sending information to the test results. Ans: Reporter)

Make sure that you look in 9.2 version for knowing new features added in this version.

If you are accessing the partner portal for the first time, please follow the below steps: 1. Go to hp partner portal (hp partner portal gateway) and select your country and register yourself for portal user id 2. Log in using your hp partner portal user id and password - if you have forgotten your password, click on the >>forgot password<< link on the login page 3. Once in hp partner portal, click on train & certify on the left hand navigation bar(remember you will get hp learner id activation in 3 business days till that time you have to wait) 4. QTP certification name is HP0-M16 and M15 for QC.

there is no need to apply in any site. just visit your nearer prometric center, and pay $60 in Indian currency, and writer the exam.

QTP certification will be provided by HP, before that how long you are experienced in using QTP, if you have good practical knowledge then only you can clear the certification exam.
