Thread: Cannot access the repository (USR0013)

Hi guys,

I am trying to install BO XI client installation on windows Xp
after installing the s/w, I tried to open the designer. then it is asking for:
Enter the name of your system (central management server). you also need to specify your user name and password.

System -
User name -
Password -
Authenticaion -

Here for system, I have my system(computer) name. What should we enter for username and pwd and what authentication we need to give?
Please help me in this regard. I tried so many times. but it is giving me an error "CANNOT ACCESS THE REPOSITORY(USR0013)".

It is not really needed to enter password for installation or after when you logon to bo-xi so do not worry about password leave it as blank.

part two of your question Authentiation: for this you need to give authentication type as Enterprise this only work for bo.xi in normal case. If you give authentication as windows NT you cannot create user other than admin.

If your questiion is after installation there is no need to enter password enter user name as your system admin name and authentication as enterprise. If still there is problem please make sure that you create connection with data base and check whether the data base server is started on your system by click run and enter service.msc and click ok to check data base status

I am not able to log on BO XI 3.1 designer,after instalation when i am going to logon designer the error show "Cannot access the repository (USR0013)" my BOmysql server servise is already started .
Plz help me

Authentication list, select Enterprise, LDAP, Windows AD, Windows NT.
Enterprise authentication is the default authentication method.

This will be a deski connectivity issue which indicates that the RDB can not be reached based on the middleware setup on the computer.Make sure you can connect to the RDB from your desktop before logging in.

do this, it works

System- give ur System Name, u can find this in "My Computer" properties in that u can find computer Name(Full Computer Name) use that

User name - System login User name

Password - while installing BO XI 3.1 it will ask for password for 6 times in 2 screen shorts, all the 6 passwords have to be the same and use that "password" here.

Authenticaion - Enterprise
