How to get a count of records in a large file quickly? There is a option in File-Aid which i dont remember now. How can it be done using JCL?

In file aid u can use F35 command and go to second screen, you can find prime records number and deleted records number. If you browse using f1, file-aid will endup without moving to last record displayuing insufficient space. Am not sure in JCL.
