Here is one answer : ((5+5)/5 )^5 +5

((5+5)/5 )^5 +5 = ((10)/5 )^5 +5
= 2^5 +5
= 32 + 5
= 37

Hence his guess would be 100+88 -86 =102 (mod 100) = 2
