    What day is today?

Two brothers have certain peculiar characteristics. One of them always lies on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. The other always lies on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. On the other days they tell the truth. You are given a conversation.

Person A-- today is Sunday my name is Anil
Person B -- today is Tuesday, my name is Bill

    What day is today?

    -- James.

    Re: What day is today?

This questions remains unanswered for a long time.So i have decided to publish the answer.

It is very clear that one of two brothers(either A or B) is lying.

A says today is Sunday and his statement can't be true since on Sundays both of them speak truth. But they made diff statments. Hence A is lying.

It is also given that the brothers are speaking truth on alternative days ( except Sundays). So If A is lying and it is not a Sunday then B speaks truth on that day. Hence today is Tuesday.
