Ys you need windows server operating system & this should be on the network. Means you have to assign a ip address to this machine, which can communicate to others. These are the requirement to install ad. You can install loopback apater for self-pinging, if you have one machine & you want to do it for practical only. Thanks & regards mohit sharma

you need the Cd rom ,windows server 2003 cd , RAM 256 ( better 1 gb) ,CPU 700 Mhz (P IV or More Better) , hdd 40gb with NTFS format
