Using QTP for SAP Testing

I am using QTP with SAP add in for automated testing. The issue that i am facing is that automated script fails when i double click on a transaction in the sap easy access menu to open up the transaction. The script runs till the point you locate the menu on the left hand side in the sap easy access menu but it ends with an error saying

"Can not find the objects parent "SAP" class window.Verify that parent properties match an object currently displayed in your application."

Does anybody faced an issue like this earlier. Please help urgently.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Instead of double clicking the transaction, you can use click the sapguibutton to navigate to the next transaction.

Sapguibutton is highlighted in the Attachment.

Re: Using QTP for SAP Testing

it requires corresponding patch, once you install required patch then QTP can identify these. As you said that object is recorded as afx...... means QTP not recognized dat object properly

Are you using the SAP TAO framework for your Automation Testing?
