Re: Testcase Template Attached

Hi, The template what you have given is perfect for very very small project. But when you work in real projects there may be more and mre no of columns. in the template.

I would like to suggest some.
1. Area ( Area of Module/ application)
2. Sub Area ( part in areas)
3. Priority (Very Important)
4. Severity
5. Bug Id (If Bug is found by this test case)
6. Bug storage (In excel sheets / BugZilla or any QC)
7. STE Prepared
8. STE Excuted
9. Build No. (Version no of application)

I hope this would make your template more comprehensive and generic.

Thanks Friend,

One question, if you don't mind, I never used Priority and severity for testcase, ya these terms comes under bug report. Are you really using these terms for test case writing, and how you can assign priority and severity
to a tets case. Please explain it, it will really helpful to all.

Re: Testcase Template Attached

"severity is the imapct of the defect on the application"identification of severity assist in focusing what defects are more imporantant and require immeediate attention severity can be classified as follows critical, major, cometic ,sugeeston

critical =there is functionality block .the application is not able to proceed
major=the application is not working as desire ,there are variations in th functionality.
minor ; there is no failure reprted due to the defect ,but certainly needs to be rectified
cosmetic;defects in the user inteface or navigation
suggestion;feature which can be added for beeterment.
