what are the drawbacks of 'V' model ?

As per my understanding there is one drawback "Repetition of Document" which is time consuming and verifying the same things again and again.

The basic disadvantage or rather the drawback of V Model is that only testing is taken into account and not the development process which is going in parallel to the development.

This is the reason why another model came into existance called "W Model" which takes into consideration the deveopment process as well.

V module is highly repeted process for big projects. for the large project if u use V module it is time consumeing.

if the requerement are clear and simple no need to go for V module

it is good development model
particulary no company will follow tha particular model for their projects
they use all the models. what are the draw backs means it is time consuming and epensive. according to the time constraint they follow the models for developing different apllications of a project
