hi my question is "how do you arrange the 5 coins in such a way that each coin should touch other four?"
    something like this:
out of three coins if a arrange the coins triangular then each coin touches other two's.
    similarly arrange the five coins.

    Hi govindaraj123,

In your attachment, "Pink color coin didn't touch the opposite pink color coin". So it is touch only other three coins..not four coins...

Now you can check one more time .

This time i drew somewhat correctly . You don't put coins on table or anyohter .You can do it in air . You see attachement .

Top 2 coins and middle 2 coins inclined little then at a particular point
each coin touch other four . Top 2 coins are not placed on base but i inclined those coins .

    check the attached doc.

Green and Red coin touching at a point in tilted position
Yellow coins in between red and green coin, each touching other three
Straight line is the fifth coin which is in straight position touching other 4

    Try it practically, I did.

Re: Arrange the coins in such a way that each coin should touch the other

    It is quite simple,

i guess it is easy it they have asked for three right, ok then start arranging first three coins touching each other, keeping them in a triangle touching each other all three, now put this tirangle in between other two, still the problem not solved as the other two coins not touching each other ok right, now clip the two coin edges and put the triangle in between them, thus the problem is solved

ther r so many things to assume here as this is possible only with not too big coin, not too small coins, as if the coin size is too big, you cant arrange it for three itself in a triangle, and if they r too small we cant acheive

The answer is it is not possible to make all the 5 touch each other. Max 4 can be made touch each other.
