Re: QC and TD

though Qc and TD are both bug tracking tools but few differences includes
- there are four views in QC but two in TD.
-defect no can be found in TD when it is mailed to developer but in QC it is not so.

Re: QC and TD

QC and TD are NOT Bug Tracking tools. They are Test Management Tools with a free bug tracking component.

QC and TD

Hi All! I have just migrated QC8.2 to QC9.2. Whenever I am trying to execute to Testsets simultaneously, one of the Automatic Runner is fetching error "Unspecified error". So, at a time I can only execute inetestset. But in 8.2 it was possible to open multiple testsets with Automatic runner for the same host.? Please tell me is it QC9.2 new feature or there is any config change?

Re: QC and TD

Before 2006 we used call Test director7.6.
TD renamed as quality center 8.0 from 2oo6.
Now we have in market qc10.
QC have version control. But we din't have version control option in TD.

Re: QC and TD

)Open test script in QTP click on Connect to QC under File menu.
2)Enter QC URL project name/domain/username/password and click on Login.
3)Click on Save As under File menu
4) click on Save in QC.
5)select folder path
6) click on OK

It will be uploaded successfully

After following these steps will it generate automatically?

Re: QC and TD

TD for Quality Center -- will have the basic modules for Test Management like in TD.. Requirements,Test Plan,Test Lab,Defect modules..The difference from TD is TD for QC is a 3 tire architecture..

Quality Centre -- will have the basic modules (TD for QC) and BPT, Risk management, Release management etc....
